Wendy and I drove over to Skagway this weekend. I've been working far to hard on my latest novel "The Book of the Sasquatch" so I enjoyed the break.
The Sasquatch story begins on the Beringia land bridge 10,000 years ago when the Sasquatch and the Earth People band together against the man-eating evil Bluebacks. I've been interested in the land bridge for some time now and it's fun to write about Sasquatches.
The tour boat 'The Island Princess' was in and the Skagway streets were busy but not like the times three boats dock at once with at least ten thousand people coming ashore.
In an earlier post I took a picture of an unfinished house with a nice roof and a bunch of dormers. I checked on the builder's progress and nothing has been done since then. If I get a chance to meet him I'm going to see if we can do an interview.
The colors are great along the road to Carcross, a tapestry really. Wendy is standing at the summit between Alaska and the Yukon. You can see the clouds/fog in the background.
The Island Princess is a lovely boat.
Regards
David
